Will I lose control?
Hypnosis actually provides the tools you need to overcome negative thoughts and self-sabotaging behaviors. Through hypnotherapy, you can transform your life and achieve your objectives with greater ease.
Will I get “stuck” in a hypnotic state?
Have you ever been so involved in watching TV that you lost track of what was going on around you? Only to snap right back into the present moment when the phone rang? The same thing is true with hypnotherapy. Even if you have been hypnotized, you can easily come back to full consciousness if it should be necessary.
How does hypnotherapy work?
Your subconscious mind is like a mini-computer that stores your memory, behavior patterns, automatic bodily functions (heart rate), and learned responses (fear of exams).
The subconscious resists change, which is why we get stuck in old patterns. Through relaxation techniques, a trained hypnotherapist can guide you into a relaxed state. While you are in this relaxed state, the hypnotherapist can reinforce new behaviors and goals by strengthening your focus and reducing your psychological and/or emotional barriers. This allows you to achieve your goals with enhanced motivation and ease.
Does hypnotherapy really work?
Yes. Hypnotherapy may not solve every problem, but it is valuable in almost every situation. Many scientific studies have demonstrated its benefits.
How does hypnotherapy differ from psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy works with the conscious mind and tends to be a long-term effort. Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind and is short-term. Sometimes noticeable results occur in a single session. Depending on the person and the number and complexity of the issues, it usually takes 3 to 10 sessions to achieve desired results.
